Women Empowered Committed Against Negativity
Happy homes, happy families
A world where every woman, child and vulnerable family can live with dignity, equality and safety, free from poverty, stigma and discrimination.
To empower and support at-risk families, women and children, by providing education, advocacy and support services that break cycles of violence, advance gender equality and inspire lasting social change.
Across South Africa — including the Western Cape where our organisation is based — families face complex socio-economic challenges. High unemployment, persistent poverty, crime, and gender-based violence are deeply interconnected issues that require coordinated, multi-sector interventions.
WE CAN partners with stakeholders to address pressing social challenges in the greater Western Cape and in other South African provinces. We have responded to these challenges in the following ways:
Capacitating women within their families and their broader communities
Capacitating men to be responsible fathers and role models to their children
Creating safe spaces for constructive conversations and information sharing at the local level
Mobilising family support groups within vulnerable communities
Our work spans more than three provinces, addressing these pressing social concerns through collaborative, community-driven solutions.
Through our positive response, we have a multi-sectoral approach for our interventions to promote positive and meaningful change.
